study calls "Romantic organology." Scientific and philosophical
notions of biological function and speculative thought
converged to form the discourse that Transplanting the
Metaphysical Organ reconstructs-a metaphysics meant to
theorize, and ultimately alter, the structure of a politically
and scientifically destabilized world.
