آیا استفاده از تایمرهای شمارش معکوس در چراغ های راهنمایی بر ایمنی عابران پیاده تأثیر می گذارد؟ چگونه می توان مسیرهای پیاده روی در سیستم های حمل و نقل را با استفاده از ابزار منبع باز مدل کرد؟ چه ویژگی هایی باید در هنگام پیاده سازی مولفه های بسیار پیشرفته ICT در شهرهای معاصر مورد توجه قرار گیرد؟ چه سناریویی برای توسعه سیستم های حمل و نقل هوشمند برای یک منطقه خاص باید انتخاب شود؟ چگونه می توان تأثیر مواد منتشر شده از وسایل نقلیه را بر تغییرات آب و هوایی تخمین زد؟ پاسخ به این سوالات و بسیاری از سوالات دیگر را می توان در این نشریه یافت. همچنین شامل تحلیل‌های متعددی بر اساس منابع داده‌های مشروع است که رابطه نزدیک بین رفتارهای سفر و تغییرات سازمانی و فنی معرفی‌شده در آنچه که امروزه به عنوان شهرهای هوشمند معرفی می‌شود را نشان می‌دهد. در حال حاضر و در آینده‌ای نزدیک، سیستم‌های حمل‌ونقل پیشرفته از نظر فن‌آوری نیاز به توسعه قابل‌توجهی از حمل و نقل الکتریکی و تاکید بر چندوجهی بودن دارند، بنابراین همه این مشکلات به درستی در این نشریه بررسی شده است.

با توجه به نتایج تحقیق مورد بحث و راه‌حل‌های انتخاب شده که کاربرد عملی پیدا می‌کنند، انتشار به سه گروه از گیرندگان اختصاص داده شده است:

· دانشمندان و محققان (حوزه ITS)

· مقامات محلی (مسئول) برای سیستم حمل و نقل در سطح شهری و منطقه ای)

·نمایندگان تجارت (مدیریت استراتژی ترافیک) و صنعت (تولیدکنندگان اجزای ITS).

نشریه با عنوان سیستم‌های حمل‌ونقل هوشمند و رفتار سفر شامل مقالات منتخبی است که به سیزدهمین نمایشگاه «سیستم‌های حمل‌ونقل» ارسال شده و ارائه شده است. تئوری و عمل» کنفرانس علمی و فنی که توسط دپارتمان سیستم های حمل و نقل و مهندسی ترافیک در دانشکده حمل و نقل دانشگاه صنعتی سیلسی برگزار شد. این کنفرانس در تاریخ 19-21 سپتامبر 2016 در کاتوویتس (لهستان) برگزار شد. جزئیات بیشتر در www.TSTP.polsl.pl<

Does application of countdown timers at traffic lights affect pedestrian safety? How can one model walking routes in transport systems using open source tools? What features should be particularly taken into account while implementing highly advanced ICT components in contemporary towns? What scenario for the development of Intelligent Transport Systems should be chosen for a specific area? How to estimate the impact of the substances emitted by vehicles on climate changes? Answers to these and many other questions can be found in this publication. It also comprises numerous analyses based on legitimate data sources, presenting the close relation between travel behaviours and the organisational as well as technical changes introduced in what is contemporarily referred as smart cities. At present and in the nearest future, technologically advanced transport systems require and will require considerable development of electromobility and the emphasis being placed on multimodality, therefore all these problems have been properly addressed in this publication.

With regard to the research results discussed and the selected solutions which find practical application, the publication is dedicated to three groups of recipients:

·Scientists and researchers (ITS field)

·Local authorities (responsible for the transport system on the urban and the regional level)

·Representatives of business (traffic strategy management) and industry (manufacturers of ITS components).

The publication entitled Intelligent Transport Systems and Travel Behaviour contains selected papers submitted to and presented at the 13th ”Transport Systems. Theory and Practice” Scientific and Technical Conference organised by the Department of Transport Systems and Traffic Engineering at the Faculty of Transport of the Silesian University of Technology.
