De Havilland DH.98 Mosquito یک هواپیمای جنگی چند منظوره بریتانیایی با خدمه دو نفره بود که در طول جنگ جهانی دوم و پس از آن خدمت می کردند. این یکی از معدود هواپیماهای عملیاتی خط مقدم آن دوران بود که تقریباً تماماً از چوب ساخته شده بود و به «عجایب چوبی» ملقب شد. این پشه در میان خدمه‌هایش به نام «Mossie» نیز شناخته می‌شد. پشه که در ابتدا به عنوان یک بمب افکن سریع غیرمسلح تصور می شد، برای نقش هایی از جمله بمب افکن تاکتیکی در طول روز با ارتفاع کم تا متوسط، بمب افکن شبانه در ارتفاع بالا، مسیر یاب، جنگنده روز یا شب، جنگنده بمب افکن، مزاحم، هواپیمای ضربتی دریایی و عکس سریع اقتباس شد. - هواپیماهای شناسایی همچنین توسط شرکت هواپیمایی خارج از کشور بریتانیا (BOAC) به عنوان یک حمل و نقل سریع برای حمل محموله های کوچک با ارزش بالا به، و از کشورهای بی طرف، از طریق حریم هوایی تحت کنترل دشمن استفاده شد. یک مسافر را می‌توان در محل بمب هواپیما حمل کرد، که برای این هدف مناسب شده بود

The de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito was a British multi-role combat aircraft with a two-man crew that served during and after the Second World War. It was one of few operational front-line aircraft of the era constructed almost entirely of wood and was nicknamed «The Wooden Wonder». The Mosquito was also known affectionately as the «Mossie» to its crews. Originally conceived as an unarmed fast bomber, the Mosquito was adapted to roles including low to medium-altitude daytime tactical bomber, high-altitude night bomber, pathfinder, day or night fighter, fighter-bomber, intruder, maritime strike aircraft, and fast photo-reconnaissance aircraft. It was also used by the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) as a fast transport to carry small high-value cargoes to, and from, neutral countries, through enemy-controlled airspace. A single passenger could be carried in the aircrafts bomb bay, which was adapted for the purpose
