Asthma is a condition which affects many infants and older children and which can be debilitating in its severity. The editors of Textbook of Pediatric Asthma have assembled a team of experts from around the world to discuss the various aspects of the disease. A section on normal lung development precedes chapters concentrating on asthma in different age groups. Various causes of asthma, such as exercise, indoor and outdoor allergens and food hypersensitivity are discussed.
