تبادل سریع اطلاعات و دانش، شرایط ضروری برای تحقیقات موفق و مؤثر و کاربردهای عملی در نقشه برداری است. برای توسعه موفقیت آمیز تحقیقات، نه تنها باید از روندها در این حوزه پیروی کرد، بلکه سعی کرد روندها و فناوری های جدید را از سایر حوزه ها تطبیق داد. گرایش‌ها در نقشه‌نگاری اغلب موضوعات بسیاری از کنفرانس‌ها هستند که هدف اصلی آنها پیوند دادن کارشناسان تحقیقاتی، آموزشی و کاربردی در نقشه‌برداری و GIS&T در یک پلتفرم بزرگ است. چنین مکان مناسبی برای تبادل و به اشتراک گذاری دانش و مهارت ها کنفرانس CARTOCON2014 بود که در Olomouc جمهوری چک در فوریه 2014 برگزار شد و این کتاب مجموعه ای از بهترین و جالب ترین مشارکت ها است.
کتاب محتوا از چهار بخش تشکیل شده است. بخش اول رویکردهای جدید در ساخت نقشه و اطلس مطالعاتی را در مورد روش های نوآورانه در تولید نقشه و گردآوری اطلس جمع آوری می کند. در ادامه بخشی از کتاب پیشرفت در نقشه‌نگاری وب مثال‌ها و ابزارهایی برای ارائه نقشه وب آورده شده است. بخش سومروش های پیشرفته در استفاده از نقشه شامل دستیابی به تحقیقات ردیابی چشم و مسائل کاربران است. بخش پایانی کارتوگرافی در عمل و تحقیق گواه روشنی است که نقشه برداری و نقشه ها در بسیاری از علوم زمین و در بسیاری از شاخه های جامعه نقش بسزایی داشته اند. هر مقاله منفرد اصل است و جایگاه خود را در نقشه کشی دارد.توضیحاتی درمورد کتاب به خارجی
The fast exchange of information and knowledge are the essential conditions for successful and effective research and practical applications in cartography. For successful research development, it is necessary to follow trends not only in this domain, but also try to adapt new trends and technologies from other areas. Trends in cartography are also quite often topics of many conferences which have the main aim to link research, education and application experts in cartography and GIS&T into one large platform. Such the right place for exchange and sharing of knowledge and skills was also the CARTOCON2014 conference, which took place in Olomouc, Czech Republic, in February 2014 and this book is a compilation of the best and most interesting contributions.
The book content consists of four parts. The first part New approaches in map and atlas making collects studies about innovative ways in map production and atlases compilation. Following part of the book Progress in web cartography brings examples and tools for web map presentation. The third part Advanced methods in map use includes achievement of eye-tracking research and users’ issues. The final part Cartography in practice and research is a clear evidence that cartography and maps played the significant role in many geosciences and in many branches of the society.
