چند سال پیش در کتاب Die physiologische Entwicklung des Kindes. Vorlesungen ilber funktionelle Padologie (اسپرینگر-ورلاگ، 1959)، وضعیت کنونی دانش در زمینه پدولوژی توسط متخصصان اطفال از کشورهای مختلف گردآوری شد. بر خلاف اصطلاح "اطفال"، کلمه "pedo logy" برای اشاره به فیزیولوژی کودک استفاده می شود، زیرا اگرچه رشد فیزیولوژیکی کودک ارتباط نزدیکی با اختلالات عملکرد بدن دارد، اما هر دو با تجربه بزرگسالان متفاوت هستند. . پدولوژی جامع تر از فیزیولوژی است، زیرا هم رشد فیزیولوژیکی و هم رشد روانی کودک عادی را پوشش می دهد. پاسخ مطلوب به کتاب فوق الذکر پروژه مستندسازی پیشرفت بیشتر در پدولوژی را در فواصل زمانی معین تحریک کرد، به ویژه توسط نویسندگانی که خود سهم قابل توجهی در این پیشرفت ها داشته اند. در سالهای 1965 و 1968 دو جلد به ترتیب تحت عنوان Fortschritte der Pado logie توسط Springer-Verlag-Berlin-Heidelberg-New York منتشر شد. در حالی که تا کنون فقط در برخی از مقالات از زبان انگلیسی استفاده می شد، در جلد حاضر همه نویسندگان مقالات خود را به زبان انگلیسی ارائه می کنند. ماربورگ، بهار 1973 محتویات ویرایشگر W. A few years ago in the book, Die physiologische Entwicklung des Kindes. Vorlesungen ilber funktionelle Padologie (Springer-Verlag, 1959), the then-current state of knowledge in the field of pedology was compiled by pediatricians from the most diverse countries. In contrast to the term "pediatrics," the word "pedo logy" was used to refer to the physiology of the child, because although the physiological development of the child is intimately associated with disturbances of body functions, both are different from experience with adults. Pedology is more comprehensive than physiology, in that it covers both the physiological and psychological development of the normal child. Favorable response to the above-mentioned book stimulated the project of documenting further progress in pedology at certain intervals, especially by authors who themselves had contributed substantially to these advances. In 1965 and 1968, respectively, two volumes under the title Fortschritte der Pado logie were published by Springer-Verlag-Berlin-Heidelberg-New York. Whereas up to now the English language was used in only some of the articles, in the present volume all authors present their papers in English. Marburg, Spring 1973 The Editor Contents W.
