This book contains a selection of the 34 papers presented at an international expert meeting, held in Switzerland in November 2001, to discuss progress on the development of agri-biodiversity indicators designed to inform policy work on the impact of current farm policies on biodiversity. A key outcome of the meeting was the need to establish a common agri-biodiversity framework to promote understanding of the complexity of agri-biodiversity linkages and to identify suitable indicators to track trends, based on a three-tier hierarchical structure.
