Urban Forests and Trees: A Reference Book

این نشریه نتیجه بیش از شش سال کار سخت گروهی متعهد از کارشناسان جنگل و درخت شهری اروپایی است. ویراستاران مدیون کارشناسان ملی COST Action E12 «جنگل‌ها و درختان شهری» و سایر کسانی هستند که در فصل‌های مختلف این نشریه مشارکت داشته‌اند. در نهایت 59 نویسنده از 21 کشور اروپایی در این کتاب حضور دارند. همکاری اروپا در زمینه تحقیقات علمی و فنی (COST) و به ویژه دبیرخانه آن برای حمایت آنها در ایجاد یک جامعه فعال اروپایی از کارشناسان جنگلداری شهری، شایسته قدردانی است. در کار خود برای تهیه این نشریه، کارن سجر، که حمایت تحریریه حیاتی را ارائه کرد، به ما کمک کرده است. ما همچنین از Jette Abel، Birgit Brynjolf، Jette Alsing Larsen و سایر همکاران در مرکز دانمارکی برای جنگل، منظر و برنامه ریزی، KVL سپاسگزاریم. بدون مشارکت آنها، کار هرگز نمی توانست تکمیل شود. همچنین سخنان سپاسگزاری به ناشر، Springer، می رسد، که از ایده انتشار اولین کتاب مرجع اروپایی در مورد جنگل های شهری و درختان شهری از همان ابتدا حمایت کرده است و در طول فرآیند تولید طولانی صبر نشان داده است.

This publication is the result of more than six years of hard work by a dedicated group of European urban forest and tree experts. The editors are indebted to the national experts of COST Action E12 ‘Urban Forests and Trees’ and to the others who have contributed to the various chapters in this publication. Ultimately, 59 authors from 21 European countries feature in this book. The European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research (COST) and in particular its Secretariat deserve our gratitude for their support in establishing an active European community of urban forestry experts.
